She ditched the hustle, posted once, and signed new clients. Here’s how you can too.

Playing it safe will NOT get you noticed; being yourself will.

Renee Hribar shares how one simple shift transformed her client’s marketing: adding a compelling question to every piece of anchor content. By focusing on connection over volume, and courage over conformity, this small change sparked conversations, revived client relationships, and led to new business opportunities.

The takeaway is clear, safe does not sell, but authentic and different does. With a little courage and the right strategy, you can create real momentum by simply being fully yourself.

Playing it's safe. Instead of doing what everyone else was doing, she trusted her gut. And she did her own thing and what happened next? Da da. She got noticed. She got traction and she signed new clients, not because she was loud or pushy, but because she was willing to be different. And honestly, she didn't have to try to be different.

, this might sound familiar. [:

Now, obviously, she and I wordsmithed these questions. We wanted to make sure that they were research based and not going to make someone feel like they had to admit anything that they didn't wanna admit publicly. They have to follow certain criteria, but it's really as simple as asking a question. Think about it from your customer or potential customer, or just audience perspective.

keting. I mean, this client, [:

And she loves marketing for others specifically, but for herself, uh, not so much. I mean, the cobbler's kids who have no shoes, right? This is a, this is an old saying for a reason. So when she and I mapped out this plan, we decided to do just one post a week. Yep. When you work with me, I am not gonna try to convince you to do more marketing.

I'm, in fact, most of the people I work with, they're either completely not doing anything, which is an easy fix, or they're doing so much like they're on summits and they're trying to get on podcast guests and they're trying to do this, and they're trying that, right? Ah, they've so many freaking marketing veins coming in and they're not.

n't. It would be what I call [:

So in this case, a podcast could be anchor content. This is my anchor content video can be anchor content. I had a video series for years that was my anchor content. And now with AI, I can turn every transcript. Every, every conversation into posts and emails. But geez, should we? So in terms of my client here, she already had a, a lot of great content.

We mapped out one piece of anchor content, which is like a demonstration of her experiences of her brain. A demonstration with a story woven in so that the people that do read it can see themselves in the main character of these anchor content pieces. So if that feels complicated, it's not a straight line and it's definitely something I have sold for thousands of dollars.

. We would spend three [:

So here's the thing, when she had asked that question as the first line, like I said, sort of researchy, you know, have you ever run ads and they didn't find you any new clients kind of question, that's when she and I would go talk about what to do next. So then she would go and reach out to her clients.

Or her former clients, and what she did was ask them to go weigh in on that. Question. Hey, I just asked a question and I was hoping you could answer it from the, before you met me perspective. Can I send you the link to this post I just put up? I mean, you know, who was she reaching out to? Five, six people from the last year.

That's it. It's not [:

And the fun part is, is that just one po Like the first time we did this, right, she did one post, she reached out to, I, I wanna say five people, maybe it was six. But she just, from the comments connecting with and continuing the conversation with those people, she got another cl, she got a former client to come back and do a whole new project again.

They were like, I was thinking about you, but I didn't know how to reach out. I wasn't sure if you were even into doing that kind of small project. She's like, yes, it's as long as it fits into a VIP day. Right? That was one of the things she was doing then. So all that to say, what I want you to think about is.

ect with her network, asking [:

That move made her memorable. That is what built momentum back into her business. So here's the lesson I want you to hold onto. When you step away from being safe and into authentic, and you genuinely talk about who you are, what you do, who you serve, the problems they have, the situations, the stories, the examples, the questions you would ask the reader or consumer of your content, what they would be doing if.

hiding in the safe zone and [:

Does. It doesn't take that much to be different. What it takes is the courage to be you fully. You all of you have a great weekend, my friends. I'll see you on Monday.
