Hello and welcome to The “S” Word LIVE. My name is Renee Hribar and I am your sales strategist, TEDx speaker and author, and my goal today is to help you make sales simple and fun. People really, really, really get up in our head about sales. So let’s talk about it. Say hello as you join. Whether you’re live or on the replay. OK, today I’m going to talk about the one word that can kill your sales in an instant. So when you are on a sales call, dun dun dun. I really need music for this. Dun dun dun. When you’re on a sales call or when you’re writing sales copy. So a sales page or other compelling content, a word that I see overused is… Ready for it? If. You’re like if? If. OK, so what do you use instead of if and you know what? I’m a criminal of it too, but I really, really, really see this make a huge difference. So this is going to be quick and easy lesson for you guys. My son likes it when I read stories to him in the voices. Ok, I definitely love sound effects. So but I also might like a sound effects machine one day. When instead of if. So instead of the word if. What do you use instead? You use the word when abso freaking lutely.

When. So when you’re ready, not if you’re ready. Or would you? If you’re ready, it’s would you like to hear how I work with my clients? Or when would you like to hear about how I work with my clients or when would you like to hear more about the services or some possible solutions that I have for you? Right. So like, these are the differences. So instead of if, it really is a mental shift too, an emotional shift. When you get on the phone with someone or when you’re writing sales copy, you’re not trying to push them into anything. Because if you are, you’re going to get bad customers. But if you shepherd them through the process and you consider their emotions and feelings and you help them understand the facts of where they are and where they want to go. This allows you to continue the relationship so that you have a platform independent, long term, sustainable business. This is the goal, my friends, and this is what I work on with my clients all the time. So whether they’re my one on one clients, the people that I work with it inside of my mastermind, or whether it’s the students in my Sell Like a Mutha’ program, the goal is, is that we learn the little pieces that make a big difference before, during and after the sale so that sales can feel simple and easy. Awesome. I’m so glad. Happy Wednesday. I will see you guys soon. Bye.
